Testing for the Public offered its first LSAT Strategy Course in November 1985, with consumer advocate Ralph Nader greeting the eight students. Since then, hundreds of law school candidates have studied our unique strategies for conquering the LSAT.

Testing for the Public offers LSAT Strategy Courses to the general public in Berkeley, San Francisco, and Los Altos Hills. It also has provided an LSAT Strategy Course for the UC Davis King Hall Outreach Program every summer since the program's inception.

Find the Right Answer

The typical LSAT has 101 Right Answers surrounded by 404 wrong answers.

Testing for the Public has developed strategies that are designed to find the Right Answer, rather than waste time eliminating wrong answers.

You will learn how questions are written, edited, and disguised in the answer grid. You will be able to use this knowledge to find the Right Answer and reassure yourself that it is the Right Answer.

Simplify the Logic Games

The LSAT has one section of Logic Games with four games and a total of 22-24 questions.

Testing for the Public shows how the Logic Games are designed to look complicated, but are also designed to be quite simple.

You will learn to use our unique "Could Be/Must Be" approach to answering Logic Game questions to quickly find the Right Answer. You will receive a sketch of each LSAT Logic Game since 1991, along with an explanation of the most insightful way to find the Right Answer. Careful students who apply these strategies discover that they can answer all the questions correctly and still have time left over to check their responses.

Clarify your Logical Reasoning

The LSAT has two sections of Logical Reasoning with a total of 24-26 questions in each section.

Testing for the Public has examined every Logical Reasoning question that has appeared on the LSAT since 1980. Clear patterns have emerged for different types of questions with the same types of answers.

You will learn how to quickly dissect the reasoning presented in each paragraph.
You can combine your understanding of basic logic with our advanced strategies to discover how the wrong answers point to the Right Answer.

Read Efficiently to Learn More

The LSAT has one section of Reading Comprehension with four passages and a total of 26-28 questions.

Testing for the Public recognizes that these passages are often boring and unnecessarily complicated.

You will learn how to quickly find the relevant information in the passage and ignore the irrelevant distractions. You will discover how the questions point to the Right Answer.

Learn to Avoid Test Bias

The LSAT has questions and passages about women and minority groups that are inserted to satisfy diversity specifications.

Testing for the Public has discovered that these materials actually present potential obstacles for the very applicants that are supposedly reassured by these passages.

You will learn how to recognize potential bias in the answer choices.
Our strategies are designed to directly confront such potential bias.
